16. What effects did centralized governments have between 900-750 BCE?

During the period of 900-750 BCE, Israel, Judah, Ammon, and Moab created centralized governments. The states were ran by the state and not by the elected representatives. This resulted in large-scale public works projects, such as a large complicated underground water tunnel, a spread of a standardized systems of units, such as weights, measurements. It also sparked the use of writing, as the alphabet was used widely for the first time since it was invented in Canaan during the Bronze Age. The centralized governments provided the state to have more power over the people, and also allowed for the states to be more unified with each other, as they found common culture.
