There are four rules for an explanation to be considered scientific

    • 1:It has to explain as many observations possible with as few assumptions possible.
    • 2:It must be compatible with well established scientific laws.
    • 3:The interpretation must be tested'
    • 4: This experiment can not explain every thing about the observation because of differences in perception, measurement, or another law at work.. This rule has no exceptions.

An example of the last (First rule, last exception RB) one is The Bernoulli theory of flight which states that the curved shape of an airplane wing creates a low pressure on the top and a higher pressure underneath, lifting up the wing. This contradicts the theory of gravity without ignoring it.
