A savanna is a grassland with shrubs and some scattered trees. It is usually in between a desert and a tropical rainforest. Since there is not a sustainable amount of rain fall in a savanna, it is not capable of sustaining a forest. Savannas have warm temperatures year around. There are two seasons, the wet season is summer and the dry season is winter. It is actually cooler during the dry season at about 70 degrees.
