A prophet is constantly found in the study of the Near East. Religions such as: Judaism, Islam, and Christianity all contain prophets. A prophet is somebody who delivers messages that come from God. A prophet is expected to do important things like when “Moses lead the Israelites (Hebrews) from Egypt into Canaan”(108), or even “to appoint a king like those that led other countries"(115). Prophets are significant figures that are used to teach important morals and lessons.
