Ezekiel was a prophet who was regarded as an inspired proclaimer of the will of God and was known to have revealed prophecies about the destruction of Jerusalem. Ezekiel was exiled to Babylon in 587 BC. He was also the author of The Book of Ezekiel, which he named after himself. In some religions, Ezekiel was considered to be a good angel, and in others he was considered to be one of the twelve prophets of God.
