King Saul was a king mentioned in the Bible as the first king of Israel, but he did not trust in God 100%. He was originally chosen to be the first king of Israel by god. He was dethroned by David because David was able to slay Goliath. Instead of building up Isreal after that, Saul spent the rest of his life chasing David, his former best friend. He later committed suicide.
