The mound of creation represents the first place, the first time, and the first sacred ground. The temple was a representation of the mound of creation. The temple was a depiction of the first time when the pattern of a stable society was handed to humankind. This pattern was to be maintained by kingship, law, religion, and ritual. People believed that rituals would suffice forever as long as they were performed correctly.
