When Burke says that we live in a world of information, he is referring to humans irrepressible habit of constantly asking questions and seeking out the answers. This means that our knowledge and what we accept as true is constantly changing, therefore information is constantly being introduced into our societies.

Some argue that with the influx of information we have today, these scientific explanations for things begin to lose their meaning.
