The Foramen magnum is the large hole in the bottom center part of the skull which the spine goes through. The Foramen magnum is placed at a specific spot that your head moves. With out the Foramen magnum, we wouldn't be able to keep out heads up, which would block our vision, therefore, making us extinct due to being ripped apart by predators. It also lets us walk upright.
