The Beaker people created drinking cups. Their knowledge of metalworking played a major role in how they grew an empire based around metal works. The Beaker people made delicate pottery first with copper and gradually began to use other materials such as tin. Drinking cups allowed them to pass around alcoholic beverages and was a symbol of power and wealth. These sacred cups became a desirable trade item which lead to advancement of the area.
