8. How much food could they gather and why was it important?

Back to The First Farmers Video Notes

A singular person could gather food for three weeks to feed a family of four for one year. This meant that the food was plentiful and they were able to preserve their food. This created lots of leisure time and more of a laid back community which made time for other activities other than hunting and gathering.
