8. Why do we institutionalize things?

What does it mean to institutionalize something? To institutionalize something is to establish something as a standard for a culture. Why do we institutionalize things? We institutionalize things because there are some things we do not wish to change, so we institutionalize them to have a higher order which tells us what to do and how to behave. There are multiple examples of institutionalized things such as schools and government.
