History 8 India Manual questions

The first step in the eightfold path is called "right view" which means to perceive and understand the things around you as they are and to understand the four noble truths. In other words, Right View is to comprehend and have a good grasp on all worldly objects and ideas including karma.

The second step in the eightfold path is called "right intention", which is different than right view in that instead of referring to knowledge of the things around you, it refers to how you mentally control what you do. It is similar to the will to improve yourself. Right intention is split into three ideas: the resistance to desire, the resistance to feelings of anger and hate, and the resistance to thinking or acting with cruelty or aggression.
