Weather Patterns

Since it is at 45 degrees latitude the temperature is very low and it experiences little precipitation so that the average monthly temperature can vary. It is primarily in a low pressure zone on the three celled model so most of the winds in its area are cold when they blow from the South and Southeast while North and Northeast winds blow causing it to get more humid. The pressure varies because it is almost between pressure zones too so that its precipitation levels and the direction the wind blows changes. One city that is not similar to Harbin China is Bridgetown Barbados. It is highly vegetated and located in the Caribbean sea. Since it is on an island it is very humid. It is located in a high pressure zone so that it has a fairly low amount of precipitation and its average temperature is fairly cool except during the beginning and the end of the year in which it is fairly cold.

Plate Boundary

Harbin is located on the Eurasian plate and is about 1203 kilometers from the boundary between the Pacific and the Eurasian plates.

Rocks that Underlie Harbin

Harbin lies on an area mostly made up of sedimentary rocks. Many types of coal have been found in the area and it lies on the borders of the Eurasian plate there are many igneous rocks but since it is on but Harbin lies near the center of the plate it does not lie near many igneous rocks
