Tectonic Plate Boundary Near Bangui. Bangui is situated on the African Plate, and is roughly 90 miles from the nearest boundary.

Bangui lies on top of multiple layers of sedimentary rocks. Scientists know this because Bangui sits on the Ubangi River, and all rivers are sedimentary.
