Return to History 8 Near East Questions

In Canaan and Ancient Israel, many inventions were invented between the years of 3300 to 1950 BCE. Some of these inventions include walled towns, the potter's wheel, and metal weapons. The walls that surrounded the towns were usually made of rough stones or unbaked mud. The walls provided protection from rival towns and dangerous animals. The walls did not only provide protection, but also established physical borders between different areas of land. The potter's wheel was invented around 3000 BCE. The potter's wheel allowed potters to create thinner and more complicated pottery. Metal weapons, created by artisans were created using copper. Metal weapons advanced defense systems further. There were many inventions in Canaan and Ancient Israel between 3300 to and 1950 BCE.
