Dashboard

Dashboard is a customized desktop that holds sets of applications, called widgets that are used for small tasks on a Mac. Some widgets include a Weather Monitor, Sports Tracker, Chuck Norris facts, and much more. Dashboard was introduced by Steve Jobs (Apple computer) at the World Wide Developers conference in 2004. Although one developer claimed that the idea was stolen from him, Dashboard ran on different environment than his, and dashboard remains on Mac's today.
