Computer 7-1

Before the 1960’s and 1970’s, memory computers used relays, delay lines or various kinds of vacuum tubes which are arrangements to implement "main" memory functions. In the 1970’s and later, there were storage mechanisms like tapes, magnetic discs and optical discs, which rely on the physical movement of the recording medium or a reading head. In modern time, computer memory is a device (as a chip) or a component of a device especially for a computer that can be inserted and stored and from which it may be extracted when wanted, especially in ram (capacity for storing information).
