Software
Software: the programs used to direct the operation of a computer, and documentation giving instructions on how to use them. Basically, It’s a thing you put in your computer or download that makes your computer do stuff. One example is Microsoft word. Software" is sometimes used in a broader context to mean anything which is not hardware but which is used with hardware. One type of software is programming software which helps someone write computer programs. Another type lets you do one or more specific tasks, such as computer games or search the internet.
Software is a general term for the kinds of programs used to operate computers and The term hardware describes the physical aspects of computers and related devices. Software if often divided into application software and system software. The term middlewareis sometimes used to describe programming that mediates between application and system software or between two different kinds of application software. Another category of software is utility. Software is often packaged on CD-ROMs and diskettes. Much purchased software is downloaded over the Internet.
