Mouse
DEFINITION:
• A device that controls the movement of the cursor or pointer on a display screen.
• A mouse is a small object you can roll along a hard, flat surface.
EXTRA INFO:
• The mouse first became a widely-used computer tool when Apple Computer made it a standard part of the Apple Macintosh.
• The mouse got its name because it is about the same color and size of a toy mouse.
• Dr. Douglas Engelbart, a professor with the Stanford Institute in Menlo Park, California, developed the first device that came to be known as teh mouse in 1964.
