Karl Marx, a German historian, philosopher, and historian, was one of the most influential thinkers of the 19th century. Marx was born on May 5th, 1818 in Trier, Germany, and dies on March 14th, 1883.

During most of his adult life, he interpreted history using his theory; Historical Materialism. His idea was that, the conflicts between high class and lower class are what shapes history.

This means that if the rich distance them selves too much from the poor, a revolution could spark. Later on Lenin takes this theory and develops Communism.
