From the First Derivative

• First derivative (obviously)
• Second derivative (derive the given)
• Increasing/decreasing (where is is positive? (increasing) where is it negative? (decreasing)
• Candidates for relative extrema (what are its roots?)

From the Second Derivative

• Concavity of the function (where the second derivative is positive, the function is concave up. where it is negative, it's concave down.)
• Points of inflection (located at the roots)
