Narmar/Menes

Narmer: Narmer was the first Pharaoh of ancient Egypt. He was the first person ever to be known as a god. No one had ever been as powerful as a god but they believed that his power was equal to that of a gods. He was not the first to attempt to unify Egypt however he was the first to successfully unify Egypt. He was known as "The King of Both Land and Both crowns." Narmer was the only pharaoh to rule before Christ; about 30 years prior.

Menes was a pharaoh of the early dynastic period. He is known for uniting Egypt and for creating the first dynasty ever. However, he is not ver well known in history. There is not complete confirmation that Menes and Narmer are not the same person. IN fact, most Egyptologists believe that they are the same person. Lots of the history of the two pharaohs is very similar, yet we have not found the bodies of either of them.
