1. Physical Place

Physical place is the characteristics of a place that are geological such as lakes, rivers, mountains. Physical place consists of a variety of categories such as landforms: "flora, fauna, climate, earth-sun relationships, chemical, and mineral compounds" (class notes). An example from the book includes "a flat topped tree with a lot of grassy bundles hanging among the branches" (12). That example is relevant to physical place because it falls into the category of flora. Over all physical place is "the branch of geography dealing with the natural features of the earth, the home of humans" (Page 16 of manual).

2. Place Changes

Place changes are the things that occur to a geographical place when things such as, extraterrestrial forces, volcanic activity, plate tectonics, and evasion climate change. When these occur the place being affected is changed either in a dramatic way or a very slight change. In "A Bone from a Dry Sea an example of place change is, " Because it was a sea until a few million years ago" (12). This is an example of place change because that area in Africa used to be a sea but a place chang caused it the change drastically. ,
