Nearby Land The city sits on the Attica Basin, which is in between the mountains Mt. Aegaleo to the west, Mt. Parnitha to the north, Mt. Penteli to the northeast, and Mt. Hymettus to the east.

Water Bodies Major Seas are the Ionian Sea to the west, the Aegean Sea to the east, and the Mediterranean Sea to the South. The city is located in between the Kifisós and Ilissus rivers.
