Taoism's main goal is focusing on the individual in nature rather than the individual in society. This mean that the individual must follow the Dao (way) of the universe and the adjust to the rhythm of nature. Taoism also orders the daily lives of those who follow the Dao. The Dao De Jing, written by Lao Tze himself, tells of the Taoist approach to daily life.
