Tai Chi can best be defined as a type of exercise, originated in China, that helps to reduce and eliminate stress. It can be described as a from of yoga and meditation combined, relaxing the body and mind. The movements of Tai Chi refer back to the martial arts of early China and are said to have mimicked the motions of animals before that.
