Infrastructure
- Added two new blades to our Bladecenter for a total of 9
- IBM replaced one of our 2 sans whose reliability was questionable
- Purchased an additional sans to give us a total of three and an overall effective capacity of over 9 terabytes
- Moved our file server and mail server to new blades and sans for increased efficiency, CPU power, and storage capacity
- Purchased 5 1U servers for further server consolidation into racks
- Updated phone system software to handle Daylight Savings Time change
Hardware
- Changed faculty laptop replacement cycle to 3 years
- Implemented process to service laptops at the end of the year
- Part of the end-of-year checkout process
- Updated tablets with Ram to extend their use
- 12 Activboards installed
- 6 in the LS and one AB2
- 4 in the MS
- 1 in the US
- 4 Activotes purchased for the LS
- Replaced monitors in S208 with larger flatscreens
- Migrated S208 monitors to S202 lab
- Replaced computers in S202
- Migrated S202 computers & monitors to W205, US and LS Library
- Replaced monitors in G213 with flatscreen monitors
- Replaced 12 computers and monitors in MS library
- Replaced 12 computers and monitors in the LS library with the computers from S202
- Replaced 23 IMac computers with new PC computers in LS 207/208
- Removed 6 IMacs from Class 1 multipurpose.
- Added 10 laptops to Class 3
- Added 2 scanners to the Kindergarten and LS lab
- Expanded network storage space for yearbook photos and archiving purposes
- Donated 26 IMacs to the Orange Grove Elementry
- Donated 13 PCs and other computer equipment to the Center for Success & Independence
- Implemented a recycling program for printer cartridges
- Implemented a recycling program for technology equipment: batteries, monitors, computers
- Instituted an onsite repair program on laptop screens/motherboards and printers

- Implemented DataShuttle to tie WhippleHill Database to Raiser's Edge database
- Installed Events Registration to do online reservations

- implemented simulcast of football games, fine arts and other campus events via the Web
Curriculum Initiatives
- Guadalajara video conference for students' math class
- Sam Chambers made multiple audio and video Skype calls with schools around the world to discuss Global Warming
- Also had his students do a podcast on Global Warming
- Will Rice had his students create their own videos on different science topics
- Dan Friedman had his students create Wiki pages on different science research groups (CERN, FermiLab, Stanford)
