Unstable Heavy Bayron (Eric)
From SJS Wiki
- Baryons are hadrons composed of three quarks (examples: proton, neutron, omega, lambda).
- Protons (up, up, down) and neutrons (up, down, down) are stable.
- Omega, lambda, xi, sigma, and delta are unstable and heavy (they decay very rapidly).
- Protons were discovered in 1919 and anti-protons in 1955 which sparked the interest to discover the other 120+ baryons in existence.
