The Vedas are the four holiest books of the Hindu religion. The Four Vedas are the Rig Veda, Sama Veda, Yajur Veda, and Atharva Veda. They are believed to be one of the oldest books ever made by mankind. The Vedas have similar writings to the bible. Though, Unlike like The Bible. The Four Vedas are a strict record of the people, not the word of the deity. The singular word Veda means knowledge. The Vedas were "heard" or "seen" by priests from a divine source and passed orally through family line. It is believed to be written by the Aryans.
