A madrasa was typically "A building or group of buildings used for teaching Islamic theology and religious law, typically including a mosque."[1] It could also be used to teach secular knowledge and they were not solely used as religious schools. The madrasas generally teach two courses, the secular course(or alim) and the religious course (or hifz)
