Bhakti Movement was a religious movement which originated in the south which acted as a bridge between Islam and Hinduism. It was a cult of love and devotion that sought to ultimately completely erase the gap between Islam and Hinduism. It emerged during the 12th century CE. Guru Kabir(1440-1518 CE) was one of the most famous teachers who said that Shiva, Vishnu, and Allah were all manifestations of a single, universal deity. This movement was not successful but it helped build bridges between India's social and cultural communities. Below is a picture of the guru Kabir, a famous blind weaver.
