WHI-Chap20-Hanseatic League

Hanseatic League was a trading network in the baltic and North Seas which contained cities from Novogorod to London. The Hanseatic League dominated trade in grain, fish, furs, timber, and pitch from northern Europe. The Hanseatic League was linked to the trade network in the Mediterranean Sea by the Rhine and Danube rivers and the fairs of Champagne. (T&E, 520)
