He was an Italian philosopher and scholar who was on born February 24, 1463 and he died November 17, 1494. His is most famous because in 1486 he wrote Oration on the Dignity of Man which has been called the "Manifesto of the Renaissance". This book held 900 theses on religion, philosophy, and magic. He thought that these theses gave a good account of how man came into being and the discovery of all knowledge. He also had 72 theses about physics. Mirandola was an example of humanist syncretism because he combined 5 different schools of thought in his theses. He died mysteriously and was possibly poisoned by his secretary. [1]

tried to comprehend the world beyond western Europe, tried to harmonized many different cultural and religious teachings. It was unsuccessful because he did not understand each way of thought properly and he had limited information on some ways of thinking. His book was special to the European scholars who wanted to understand the world around them. (T&E p 584- 585)
