Web 2.0 tools fall into a new category of Internet technologies. Web 2.0 tools emphasize communication, interaction, and contributions among participants. Tools such as blogs, wikis, podcasts, RSS feeds, and social networking sites allow more people to contribute to and interact with the collection of data found online. [1]

Ward Cunningham, developer of the first wiki, WikiWikiWeb, originally described it as "the simplest online database that could possibly work." [2]

A blog is a website where entries are commonly displayed in reverse chronological order. "Blog" can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog. [3]
