Copper was used by civilizations all over Mesopotamia, Africa, and Southern Europe. Israel had a small amount of it as a natural resource. The Israelites sold their copper to all of the surrounding trade partners. Copper was used in coins, weapons and cooking utensils.

Imports

Israel imported many everyday items. These included wool clothing, rugs, figs, silver, and gold. Israel was also in need of timber for their cities. Since timber was in short supply, the price for it was high. [5]
