The Xia Dynasty is known as the first political dynasty of ancient China. It lasted from approximately 1994 BCE- 1766 BCE and was established around the Yellow or Huanghe River. We had many myths about the Xia, such as the collapse, which is said to be because of an oppressive ruler who was overthrown by his people, but we could not tell if it was just myth or reality. They did some scientific excavations at Anyang in 1928, and found tombs, urban sites, and bronze implements, that prove the existence of the Xia Dynasty. The Xia dynasty was an evolutionary period in between the Neolithic Cultures, and the highly developed and civilized Shang Dynasty.
