Factors That Regulate Climate

Houston is close to 30 degrees N latitude, in the mid latitudes high pressure area. Its topgraphy is rough, with the Mediterranean Sea directly North. It has mild humidity all year, thanks to its proximity to the Mediterranean Sea. The prevailing winds come from the N, and E, thanks to the Mediterranean Sea to the North. Winters are mild due to the warming effect of the Mediterranean Sea , and it has relativley no rain most of the year.

Tripoli is located on the African Plate roughly 90 miles to the North.

Below Tripoli, you would find many layers of sand, clay, granite, and many other things. If you were to dig under Tripoli, you would find many things. One is aquifers, or underground deposits of sand and rock that also contain water. Also large deposits of oil can be found underneath Tripoli.
