Summary

  Hong befriends Yao, another sworn brother of the White Lotus, who helps him escape with the letter and charm. Although Yao is left behind, Hong escapes and is secretly cared for two farm girls until he is able to travel. Hong soon comes across a column of soldiers and insists that they take him to Commander Ma. First they believe he is a vengeful ghost, demon, or crazy. However, after seeing his scarred torso, they take pity on him and take him to Commander Ma. Hong delivers hte letter from Zhu Tong and earns the respect of General Ma. General Ma promises to help Hong find and rescue his brother.
