− | The mound of creation, also known as the primordial or primeval mound, in ancient Egypt is most commonly known as the place where Atum created the other gods, Tefnut, and Shu. This is the place where the gods came into being, and therefore is sacred ground and the place that a temple would later stand. The mound of hill was the focal point of creation.
