The dream ends in her losing the way and dooming the people she led. After her nightmare Vinny has breakfast with the whole camp and they all talk about their findings. Jane, Dr. Hamiska's wife, found "a deer femur with what could be butchery marks on it"(152), which leads Dr. Hamiska to beleive that this site was definitely inhabited by hominid beings. His whole goal is to impress the Craig Foundation representative, John Wishart, with findings that could be made by early humans. At lunch Vinny's father is teased and tormented about Vinny's defense of the sea ape theory.
