Yin

Yin is the dark side of the Tao. Yin represents the breath that formed the Earth. The Taoist symbol shows Yin and Yang in balance with each other, as equal opposites. Yin works with Yang to balance the universe with all opposites: male and female, light and dark, and good and evil. Yin is characterized as a negative principle in nature and feminine.
