WHI-Chap20-relics
From SJS Wiki
Relics were a part of popular religion in Europe during the High Middle Ages. A relic is a physical remain (such as hair, teeth, bones, clothing, etc.) of a saint that has spiritual powers. Pilgrims traveled long distances to see relics and honor the saints represented. This illustrated the importance of christianity in the lives of people during the time.
