13. Iron Age II period Culture/ Religion In Iron Age II they saw the rise of Judah and Israel which was obliterated by King Sargon who then took them into exile. The Assyrians also reestablish power and took control of the Mediterranean.

Some of the people relied heavily on trade since they were not equipped with the recourses to provide the necessaries to strive on their own. Because the people of the Mediterranean traded their culture was like a big melting pot. They had adapted all sorts of different rituals from the different culture s they had been exposed to. gw
